Common Questions

Frequently asked about this service.

Are homemaker services covered under Medicaid in Georgia?

Yes. Homemaker services — including light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and IADL support — are a billable benefit under Georgia Medicaid for eligible clients. Our team can verify your eligibility at no charge before services begin.

What is the difference between homemaker services and personal care?

Personal care services (ADLs) focus on direct assistance with the individual — bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Homemaker services (IADLs) focus on the home environment — cleaning, cooking, laundry, and errands. Many clients receive both under a coordinated plan of care.

Can your homemaker aides administer medications?

No. Our homemaker aides provide medication reminders only — they prompt clients to take their medications but do not handle, prepare, or administer them. Clinical medication administration is provided separately by our licensed nursing staff when prescribed in the plan of care.
